Royal Wedding celebrations

What i'm listening to- The Clash-London's Burning

Its Royal wedding day. Someone said to me yesterday "Hasn't Kate done well for herself!" but i think William's done pretty well for himself too, she looks so lovely.
I think the street party thing is a bit outdated, does anyone really want to eat sliced cucumber sandwiches and drink tea from stupidly small china cups with impossibly tiny handles? I cant think of much worse really. If i could celebrate anywhere today, it wouldnt be amongst the crowds in London, I'd be heading down to the coast, somewhere along the north east of England where you can get fish, chips, mushy peas, and as its a wedding, I'd go all out and get scraps too.
I'd wash it all down with a nice big mug of tea, drank from my made in china Royal wedding mug, one of my favorite presents given to me this year, I love William and Kate's big smiling faces on it, and kind of wish i had a whole set of it, plates and all.
I'd wear my vintage pinky peach long lace dress with grey lace edging, it still hangs in my wardrobe, unworn, I've considered wearing it for weddings but thought it might be a bit too bridal, but for a royal wedding, i don't think i'd have any chance in upstaging the bride.

All night horror show at the cameo cinema

On Saturday night I went along to the Cameo Cinema for their second all night horror show, it started at 10pm and I stumbled home at 8am the next day, looking like something out of the living dead. They played Society, Re-animator, Flesh for Frankenstein, Opera and Braindead, i tried to take a long nap at about 4am during Opera but it didn't work too well, the scene with all the crows woke me up with the noise.

I wore my peach coloured lace dress with huge sleeves like an angel's wings with a cream petticoat underneath, my dress felt a bit like a nightdress so i thought i'd be able to take a nap in it-but that didn't quite work out. I hate wearing shoes in the cinema so i walked there in my new clog shoes/heels and had my really long rusty coloured socks on to keep warm during the films.
The crowd was a real mix of people, i think my favourite were a couple a few rows infront with matching long hair and old horror film t-shirts on.

Happiness is.....

I love reading "Happiness is a warm puppy" by Charles Schultz, it always puts a smile on my face if i feel sad. Lucy is my favorite peanuts character and i really like this page.....

If i had to pick a dress that made me happy whenever i wear it, its my blue denim pinafore dress, it always puts me in a good mood when i wear it because its so bright. I like wearing it with my blue and white stripy top underneath.

Ruby Red Slippers

My favorite film of all time is the Wizard of Oz, I watched it every single night after school instead of cartoons and would dance around the room like Dorothy dances down the yellow brick road.
My Dorothy obsession never ended and now when I see a pair of ruby red shoes i can't not buy them. The most Dorothy like are my super high, sequined Kurt Geiger heels. They are so high that I cant actually walk in them outdoors, so they sit on my bookcase most of the time. Every now and then I wear them around the house, and they make really good dancing shoes.
My best friend Laura loves the Wizard of Oz too, I don't get to dance with Laura enough but it'd be fun to play some Le Tigre and Fiery Furnaces and Sleater Kinney and some Elastica and dance around my room. I'd wear my long black and white stripy socks and black lace dress with my ruby red shoes so i could be like the wicked witch of the east.

the mean reds

Quote from Breakfast at Tiffanys with Audrey Hepburn....
"Holly Golightly: You know those days when you get the mean reds?
Paul Varjak: The mean reds, you mean like the blues?
Holly Golightly: No. The blues are because you're getting fat and maybe it's been raining too long, you're just sad that's all. The mean reds are horrible. Suddenly you're afraid and you don't know what you're afraid of. Do you ever get that feeling?
Paul Varjak: Sure.
Holly Golightly: Well, when I get it the only thing that does any good is to jump in a cab and go to Tiffany's. Calms me down right away."

Tiffanys might be the answer for Holly Golightly's mean reds, but for me, I'd go to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk, California, to beat the mean reds. There's be no choice but to be happy with huge clouds of pink candy floss, bright colours everywhere and blue skies. I'd have to wear my second hand 1970s red and white dress that i think makes me look like a giant candy cane, i'd run, no skip, from ride to ride.

Happy birthday Snow Black

For my birthday i'd wear my cream dress, its a bit swedish, and a bit 70's and i like to wear it with my really long grey socks and navy converse. I'd sit in my favorite black and white gingham armchair with a balloon and the cat and eat lots and lots and lots of cake with cups of tea all day long.
